The DTV lets you stay in Thailand for up to 180 days per entry over 5 years. A Thai cooking course is an accepted “Soft Power” activity, and that is exactly what we offer.

If the Thai embassy or consulate refuses your DTV, we refund your course fee minus a THB 5,000 processing fee. Just send us the refusal notice. This applies as long as you have not attended a class yet.

Questions we get every day
Can I apply for the DTV from inside Thailand?
No. Since 31 August 2026 you have to apply at the Thai embassy or e-Visa office responsible for your country of citizenship or permanent residence. Border runs to neighbouring countries no longer work for most applicants.
Do I really have to attend the classes?
Yes. The DTV is granted for a real activity. You join one 3-hour class per week on a day you choose, and you receive a certificate of completion at the end.
How long does it take to get my documents?
We prepare your enrollment letter, curriculum and receipt as soon as your payment is confirmed. Message us with your planned arrival date and we'll tell you exactly when your documents will be ready.
What happens if my visa is refused?
We refund your course fee minus a THB 5,000 processing fee, as long as you have not attended a class yet. Just send us the refusal notice. The embassy's visa fee is not refundable.
Can my partner and children come too?
Yes. Your spouse and children can apply as dependants of your DTV. They do not need to book their own course.
How long can I stay?
The DTV is valid for 5 years with multiple entries. Each entry gives you up to 180 days, and you can extend once per entry for another 180 days at immigration.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or online payment. Message us on WhatsApp or email visa@proudhomecooking.com and we'll send you the details.
